Ingredients for these Lemon Pepper Wings
1 lb fresh chicken wings
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp lemon zest
1/3 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Here’s how to make these Lemon Pepper Wings
If you have whole chicken wings cut each wing into two pieces and remove the wing tips and discard so that you have a wing drumette and a flat. If you have wing pieces instead of whole wings they should be ready to go!
Pat the wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
Place olive oil, lemon juice, zest, lemon pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning in a medium mixing bowl and whisk together.
Pour the olive oil mixture over the wings and thoroughly mix the wings so that each part is covered. For best results cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes to 390F. Then place wings in the basket of your air fryer in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer they may need to be done in batches.
Cook for 15 minutes.
Turn the wings over to the other side and bake for another 5-7 minutes.
The cooking time of the wings may vary depending on their size so test them with a meat thermometer to determine doneness, and keep from overcooking or under cooking them. They should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Serve your air fryer lemon pepper chicken wings immediately while still warm.
