When you’re cooking wings in the air fryer there are a few things to remember for best results!
Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket and make sure to leave room between them so that the hot air can circulate well. Depending on the size and style of your air fryer, or if you are cooking a lot of wings you may have to cook in batches for best results.
For nice crispy chicken wings pat them dry with a paper towel before seasoning, this helps the seasoning to stick and the wings to get extra crispy skin.

Ingredients for this Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings Recipe
1 lb Fresh Chicken Wings (separated into drumettes and flats)
2 Tbsp Olive Oil or Melted Butter
1 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning
1 tsp Lemon Zest
1/3 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
How to Make Lemon Pepper Air Fryer Chicken Wings
If you have whole chicken wings cut each wing into two pieces and remove the wing tips and discard so that you have a wing drumette and a flat. If you have wing pieces instead of whole wings they should be ready to go!
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
Place olive oil, lemon juice, zest, lemon pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning in a medium mixing bowl and whisk together.
Pour the olive oil mixture over the wings and thoroughly mix or toss the wings so that each part is coated For best results cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer to 390F for 3 to 5 minutes.
Then place wings in the basket of your air fryer in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer they may need to be done in batches.
Cook for 15 minutes.
Turn the wings over to the other side and bake for another 5-7 minutes.
The cooking time of the wings may vary depending on their size so test them with a meat thermometer to determine doneness, and keep from overcooking or under cooking them. Wings are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
