This is by far the easiest way to cook salmon with lots of flavor and have it turn out beautifully every time. It is one of our favorite air fryer recipes and is in regular rotation at our house!

Do I leave the salmon skin on?
Some salmon filets come skinless while other may still have their skin on. Whether you leave it on or peel it off is completely a matter of preference. This article has some great tips for taking the skin off of your salmon filet if that is what you prefer. I personally like mine skinless, but if you prefer the skin on that is fine!
What to serve with these salmon bites?
These salmon bites are great for weeknight meals and can easily be made into a complete meal by serving them up with your favorite sides. They are great with fresh veggies or over a bed of white or brown rice. You can eat them like chicken nuggets served with your favorite dipping sauce and a side of roasted potato wedges, hush puppies or Masala fries. They are also a great source of protein to add to your favorite salad, or plate of pasta!
What kind of salmon is best?
Fresh salmon is always the best bet, it tends to be firmer and have less of a fishy taste. Wild salmon is preferable to farm raised but whatever you can buy fresh in your grocery store is best! If you can only find frozen salmon be sure to thaw it completely before cooking and pat it dry thoroughly before you get started.
Ingredients you’ll need for these air fryer salmon bites
1 lb salmon fillet
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried ground thyme
1/3 tsp dried ground sage
Here is how to make these salmon bites
Place the salmon on a layer of paper towels and gently pat it to remove any excess moisture.
Place the salmon on a chopping block With a sharp knife cut the salmon into 1-inch pieces and transfer to a large mixing bowl
In a small bowl mix together olive oil, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, thyme and sage. Pour over the salmon chunks.
Gently toss salmon with oil and spices to thoroughly coat. Cover the bowl in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper, or spray with non-stick spray. Arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer. There is no need to preheat the air fryer – the salmon cooks very quickly. Set the temperature to 325 and cook for 7-8 minutes. Do not overcook the salmon bites or they will be come dry. Your cook time may vary depending on the thickness of the salmon so keep an eye on it.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
