Chicken Bacon Ranch Burgers

These chicken bacon ranch burgers (also called crack chicken burgers) are a delicious blend of chicken, bacon, ranch flavor and cheddar cheese. They are full of so much flavor and make a great easy dinner that everyone loves!

We love burgers of all kinds but these cheddar bacon ranch chicken burgers are one of our absolute favorites! These juicy chicken burgers are full of flavor and only require a handful of ingredients! These burgers are great for a quick dinner and they are tasty enough for entertaining. We love to make these burgers for summer gatherings like picnics, barbeques or holiday parties!

The addition of shredded cheese to these ground chicken burgers keep them from drying out as they cook so you get nice juicy burgers and not dry burgers. You can use any ranch seasoning mix that you like. I use store bought Hidden Valley Ranch mix but if you have a favorite homemade ranch dressing mix you can absolutely use it!

How to serve these burgers?

These burgers are amazing served on toasted buns topped with your favorite burger toppings. This recipe includes an amazing creamy bbq sauce that we like to serve on ours. I also like to add a slice of cheddar cheese lettuce and tomato. If you love bacon you can top them with a slice of cooked bacon. They can also be served in a more non traditional burger way on a plate topped with the sauce alongside your favorite side dishes. I like to serve ours with some roasted broccoli, steamed green beans, corn on the cob, Baked Beans With Bacon or any other veggie. They are also great with noodles, rice or other side dish.

Can I grill these burgers?

Yes! These burgers are great for summer grilling! I like to cook them on the grill or our blackstone griddle. If you are cooking them on the grill it is a good idea to cover the grill grate with aluminum foil and spay with cooking spray. The ground chicken mixture results in soft burgers that can stick to the grill if they are sat directly onto it. To cook them on a griddle you can just oil it lightly and place the burgers on and cook over medium high heat.

Can I use ground turkey?

Yes! If you prefer turkey burgers over chicken burgers you can swap out the chicken for turkey. If you use ground turkey instead of chicken the burgers might have a bit more fat and the texture might be different.

Ingredients for Chicken Bacon Ranch Burgers

For the Burgers-

1 Pound Ground Chicken

1/2 oz Powdered Ranch Dressing Mix (1/2 a packet)

4 Strips of Bacon- cooked and crumbled

1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Olive oil

For The Sauce-

1/4 Cup Barbecue Sauce

1/4 Cup Heavy Cream

1/2 Medium Size Onion- diced

1 Tbsp Olive Oil or Butter

Here’s how to make these chicken bacon ranch burger

In a large bowl combine ground chicken, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well incorporated and everything is evenly distributed.

Take a fourth of the chicken mixture and flatten into a patty. Continue with remaining chicken mixture until it is all formed into chicken patties.

The chicken burgers will be soft so sit them on parchment paper or wax paper until you are ready to cook them.

In a large skillet heat a little bit of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Place the chicken burger patties in the heated skillet and cook for about 7 minutes on one side, flip the burgers and continue to cook for another 7 minutes or until cooked through. The best way to check is with meat thermometer they should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Meanwhile while the burgers are cooking place a tablespoon of olive oil in the bottom of a small pot and heat over medium heat. Add in the diced onions and cook for about 10 minutes stirring frequently until the onions are translucent and turning golden brown.

Add in the barbeque sauce and stir well.

Add in the heavy cream and stir until everything is well blended.

Serve the cooked chicken ranch burgers with the sauce. They are great served on hamburger buns with additional toppings or served without a bun alongside your favorite side dishes.

Store any leftover burgers in an airtight container.
