Yes you can! People often call this cake mix cobbler dump cake because it is so easy to just dump the cans of peaches, and then the dry cake mix on top! However if you want to use fresh peaches you can it is just a bit more work. You’ll want to slice them and peel them before placing them in the cobbler. Depending on the sweetness of your peaches you may want to add a bit more brown sugar.

If you are using frozen sliced peaches you’ll want to allow the peach slices to thaw before using them. Drain off any excess liquid before placing them in the baking pan. You want some liquid but not too much.

For this recipe I recommend using canned peaches in juice. This helps you control the sweetness of the cobbler. If make this peach cobbler with canned peaches in light syrup or heavy syrup you may want to decrease the amount of brown sugar that is added to the cobbler.

This cobbler is best stored refrigerated in an airtight container. If you are storing it in the cake pan allow the cake to cool completely before wrapping with plastic wrap and placing in the fridge.

1 Cup Melted Butter

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1 Box Vanilla Cake Mix

1 Tbsp Corn Starch

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

Here’s how to make this easy peach cobbler recipe

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly butter a 13×9 inch baking pan

Pour two cans of peaches and the peach juice into the bottom of the pan, drain the third can and pour the canned peaches in the pan.

Pour in the vanilla extract and gently stir.

In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, corn starch and cinnamon, mix well.

Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture across the top of the peaches.
