Ingredients

  • For the strawberry brownies
  • 15 oz box of strawberry cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup salted butter melted
  • For the strawberry glaze
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp strawberry preserves
  • 1 1/2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f and spray a 8×8 square baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl mix strawberry cake mix, eggs and the melted butter until combined. The brownie batter will be thick, make sure to stir it thoroughly.
  •  Press the batter into the prepared baking dish and press gently using a spatula to even it out.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 18-23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and place on a wire cooling rack to let the brownies cool completely.
  •  Now it is time to make the simple glaze.
  • Place the powdered sugar and strawberry jam in a medium size mixing bowl. Gradually add in the milk and stir until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Spread the glaze evenly over the cooled brownies.

There are a few amazing additions you can make to these strawberry brownies. We love to add baking chips like white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips. Another addition we love is chopped dried strawberries to amp up the strawberry flavor.

These are fun brownies to decorate for parties or for a treat for Valentine’s day or other holidays. We love to top them with white chocolate chips and sprinkles!

For additional strawberry flavor you can add a 1/2 tsp of strawberry extract to either the cake mix or into the glaze.
