Easy & Delicious Roasted Chickpeas 4 Ways
Are you looking for a delicious, healthy, crunchy snack? Roasted chickpeas are such a tasty treat! Here is how to prepare them 4 different ways!
My family is big on snacks. With three boys we go through a lot of food and they are always on the prowl for something to snack on. Of course they love chips, pretzels, veggies and dip… pretty much name a snack and they’ll eat it. I’m always looking for a healthy option and of course snacks get bonus points if they’re packed with protein to keep hungry boys full for a little while!
I personally love chickpeas. I eat them in a variety of ways. I love them in salads, Buddha bowls, in chickpea salad sandwiches… they’re so tasty and versatile! When I learned that you could make roasted chickpeas I was super excited. By roasting them chickpeas turn into tasty little crunchy balls that can be flavored in so many ways!
Today I’m going to share with you the basic method for making roasted chickpeas and my 4 favorite ways to eat them!
The instructions for roasting are the same if you’re making 1 can or 10 cans, each flavoring recipe is enough for seasoning one can and can be easily doubled or tripled if you’d like.
Basic Roasted Chickpea Instructions-
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Drain your chickpeas and pat them dry with paper towels. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Now pop them in the oven for about 50 minutes. You’ll want to give them a little stir about half way through, check them at the 40 min mark, and if you need to you can leave them in for 60. You want them to be nice and dry and crunchy.
You can tell when they are done, they’ll shrink up, look dry and have a crunch when you eat one.
Once they’re done let them cool while you mix up your seasoning!

We’ve not come to a consensus in our house on which ones are the best! Even my husband who is not a huge fan of beans can quit eating these roasted chickpeas, and my boys could barely keep their paws off them long enough for me to take pictures for this post!!
So cook up some of these the next time you need an awesome snack and watch them disappear!!
