Super Fun Sprinkle Cookies

These sprinkle cookies are so fun, colorful and delicious! They are easy to make and sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike!

There is something about sprinkles. They are so colorful and fun and add just a little pizzazz to everything from ice cream to cupcakes!

And do you know what else they are super fun on? Cookies! I’m not talking just a few on top but full on covered with color!

I feel like winter gets a lot of the great cookies for the year. Christmas rolls around and there are a gazillion different cookies, then Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to whip up some more. but then spring rolls around and it doesn’t really have it’s own cookies.

So I’m nominating these!

These sprinkle cookies are colorful and fun, just like spring! Now of course you could always swap out your sprinkles for red and green and make these for Christmas, or red white & blue and make them for the 4th of July… the possibilities are really endless here.

Have a graduation party coming up? Use sprinkles in the school colors. Even wedding colors would be super cute on these for a reception cookie table! You get the idea. These sprinkle cookies are crazy versatile.

But for now I’ll say mine are a spring celebration!

These cookies are great to make with kids! They love to help roll the dough around in the sprinkles to help make these colorful and delicious cookies. Let them pick their favorite colors for their birthday or a special occasion to make it even more fun!

You can find a huge variety of sprinkles at your local baking or craft store. I also found a huge selection on Amazon in every size shape and color. Different sprinkles may bake differently so if you use any type besides traditional jimmies you might want to test a few to make sure the temp and cooking time works.

Here’s what you’ll need to make these sprinkle cookies-

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt 
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 
1/4 Cup Rainbow sprinkles plus more for rolling

First you want to preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.


Next in n a large mixing bowl, combine your sugar and butter and mix well. Then mix in one egg and the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt and mix.


Now mix your dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Then add in 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles and mix them in well.

How to make sprinkle cookies

Now form the dough into small balls and roll in a bowl of sprinkles.Then pop the cookies onto the lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

When they’re done let them cool on a wire rack and enjoy!
