St. Patrick’s Day Cereal Treats
These colorful, delicious cereal treats are so easy to make and perfect for St. Patrick’s day! Whip up a batch to celebrate the luck of the Irish!

I have a thing for Rice Krispies treats.
They are seriously one of my favorites. When I was pregnant I would eat whole pans of them (I cut one out for each of my family members first, cause I’m nice like that)
Over the years I’ve made lots of variations of Rice Krispies and other cereal treats. (check out my Nutella Krispie treats they are one of my favorites) They are an easy treat to whip up in no time. They are a great way to use up cereal before it gets stale, and you can add in candy, sprinkles… whatever you want.
Cereal treats are fun to dress up for any occasion with frosting or sprinkles, and so I decided that it would be fun to create some super festive ones for St. Patrick’s Day.
I only recently learned that you could order marshmallows like the ones in Lucky Charms by the bag full! Who knew? They are so fun to have to sprinkle on hot chocolate, cereal, ice cream, and of course cereal treats!
So I thought it would be fun to combine some colorful cereal, lots of festive sprinkles, and fun marshmallows to create a St. Patrick’s Day dessert that would be fun to add to any celebration!
These are super quick to make, and great for kids to help with, my son loves to help melt the marshmallows and sprinkle on the sprinkles! The hardest part is waiting for them to cool so you can cut them!
Here’s what you need to make these St. Patrick’s Day Cereal Treats-
6- Cups Fruit Pebbles (or similar) Cereal
1- Package Mini Marshmallows
1/4- Cup Butter
1/3- Cup Dehydrated Cereal Marshmallows
Gold Sprinkles (Cake Sequins)
Green Jimmies
The first thing you want to do is prepare your pan. Grease a 9×9 inch pan or line it with parchment paper. ( You can also use a 13×9 inch pan but it results in a much thinner cereal treat)
In a large pan melt your butter over medium heat, then add in your mini marshmallows continue heating and stirring occassionally until they are melted.
Pour your melted marshmallows over your cereal. Transfer into prepared pan and press down (I like to rub butter on my hands before pressing so that the cereal mixture doesn’t stick to them)
Then sprinkle with cereal marshmallows, gold sequins sprinkles, and green sprinkles, press lightly so they stick.
Cool completely before cutting. Cut into 6 rectangles or 9 square treats.
Serve to your little leprechauns for a fun St. Patty’s Day!
