FAQ & Recipe Tips for making this Strawberry Jello Fluff Salad

Can I use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip?

Yes, you can use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip. When I’m substituting fresh whipped cream for cool whip I like to use my cream cheese whipped cream recipe. It holds up well like Cool Whip but it made with simple ingredients.

Can I use instant pudding instead of Cook and Serve Vanilla Pudding?

No, instant pudding will not work for this recipe. You must use Cook and Serve Vanilla Pudding for the recipe to turn out correctly. When making Strawberry Jello Fluff, it is important to use Cook and Serve Vanilla pudding instead of instant pudding mix. This is because Cook and Serve pudding has a thicker consistency that holds up better in the salad, while instant pudding will not set properly and may result in a runny texture. The Cook and Serve Vanilla pudding also adds a creamy and rich taste to the salad that complements the sweet and tangy flavors of the strawberry Jello and fresh strawberries. So, don’t be tempted to substitute instant pudding in this recipe, and stick to the Cook and Serve pudding for a perfectly fluffy and delicious Strawberry Jello Fluff salad.

Use Fresh Strawberries-

To make the perfect Strawberry fluff Jello salad, it is important to use fresh strawberries and prepare them properly. First, wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Then, dice the strawberries into small pieces to ensure each bite has some strawberry in it.

Make sure to use strawberries that are ripe and sweet, as they will provide the best flavor for the salad. If strawberries are not in season, frozen strawberries can be used instead. If you use frozen strawberries for this strawberry fluff recipe make sure to thaw them and pat them dry to remove excess moisture or it will make the salad runny.

This strawberry fluff is a delicious addition to any meal or party. One of the great things about it is that you can make it ahead of time so that it is ready to go when it is time to serve. You can make the salad 2 days ahead of time and it will keep beautifully.
