Easy Easter Basket Cupcakes

Are you looking for a super cute Easter dessert? These Easter basket cupcakes are perfect and so easy to make!

Easter is so much fun! We’ve always loved joining our family for a brunch hosted by my amazing momma, followed by an egg hunt.

I love Easter candy, all the bright spring colors, and that feeling of a fresh new season that comes along with all things Easter!

When it comes to Easter desserts there are a ton out there that are delicious, decadent and perfect for celebrating the holiday. I really love using all the fun Easter candies to decorate desserts it makes for some super cute combinations!

These Easter basket cupcakes are all the Easter goodies in on dessert! Peeps, jelly beans, twizzlers… quite the sugar rush! They are super easy to make too! Your friends and family will love them and you can whip them up in no time!

You can use your favorite cake recipe & frosting for these or whip up a boxed mix, whatever works for you!

Here’s what you’ll need for these Easter Basket Cupcakes-

12 cupcakes from your favorite recipe or box mix

2 to 3 cups frosting

6 Twizzlers Rainbow Twists Licorice Candy

12 Peeps Marshmallow Bunnies

Green sugar sprinkles

1 to 2 cups jelly beans

You will also need:

Large open star tip (Wilton 1M Open Star Piping Tip)

Piping bag

The first thing you’ll want to do is pipe a single layer of frosting on your cupcake and sprinkle it with decorative sugar.

Next chop your Twizzlers in half, create the handle of the Easter basket by pressing each end of the Twizzler into the cupcake.

Now you want to press a bunny into the icing in front of the handle. You can add a little bit of icing to the bottom of the bunny if you’re having trouble getting it to stick.

Now arrange your jelly beans around the base of the bunny.

Boom! You’re done! See I said it was easy!! These Easter basket cupcakes will wow anyone at your Easter gathering and they’ll think you took a ton of time putting them together!
