This creamy coleslaw is the perfect crunchy salad to add to any weeknight dinner, or to add to your holiday menu! It is a great twist on classic coleslaw with the addition of fall flavors and fresh ingredients like tart apples and cranberries!

Why we love this recipe-

It is easy! We made this recipe using bagged coleslaw which makes it super easy! No need for chopping cabbage! It helps this salad come together quickly!

You can use your favorite apples! I used fuji apples in my slaw but you can use any apple you’d like! For a sweeter taste you can use red apples like red delicious or Macintosh. Or you can a more tart apple like a granny smith. Crunchy apples like honey crisp are also delicious in this crunchy slaw!

It is super versatile! This coleslaw salad is a healthy side dish for any occasion! Serve it aside your favorite main dish for a tasty weeknight meal. Or it is a great side to take to any holiday gathering or party!

Variations-

This recipe is delicious and always gets rave reviews, but you can tweak it a bit if you’d like for a fun twist!

Add green onions- If you enjoy your salads a little more on the savory side chop up a few green onions and add to your coleslaw!

Use lemon juice in the dressing- If you don’t like the tartness of apple cider vinegar lemon juice works well too! Fresh is best! It still makes a tangy dressing but not quite as strong!

Swap the almonds for other nuts- Not a fan of almonds? Try chopped pecans or walnuts in this recipe!
