When I was a little girl my mom used to make these chocolate chip cookie bars. They were always my favorite! They are so quick and easy to make and they are soft, buttery and full of chocolate!
I was at the grocery store the other day and I saw a lady with a giant birthday cookie…yum!
It started a craving that I had to give into!! My mom used to make these amazing chocolate chip cookie bars all the time growing up . Their official name was “Toll House Pan Cookies. If you don’t know already, the recipes that are on packages are usually so”me of the best, and I’m pretty sure she got these from the chocolate chip package. I’m not 100% sure I have it written down on a recipe card so she may have done some tweaking. Either way they are perfect.
The great thing about these is that you get soft, buttery chocolate chip cookies but they take a fraction of the time and don’t need babysitting. Rather than having to scoop dough out onto a sheet, bake them, let them cool, and then repeat, you just press the dough into the pan, pop it in the oven and bam! Cookies!
Here’s how to make these Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
2 1/4- Cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 Sticks of Butter (softened)
3/4 Cup White Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
The first thing you’ll want to do is preheat your oven to 375.
In an electric mixer, cream together your butter, sugars, and vanilla.
When that is all well incorporated, add eggs one at a time, beating in between each addition.
Next add your flour, baking soda, and salt, a little at a time until well mixed. Then fold in the chocolate chips, stir until they are evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
Press cookie dough into a greased 15×10 inch jelly roll pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Once they are done baking let them cool completely then cut into squares and enjoy!
