Ingredients for Big Mac Sloppy Joes

Ground Beef – I like to use lean ground beef for these, but you can use your favorite. If you use a higher fat content beef make sure to drain it well before adding in the spices and sauces.
Thousand Island Dressing – This is a quick replacement for Big Mac sauce that makes these quick and easy. If you prefer a store bought burger sauce or a homemade Big Mac sauce you can absolutely use them.
Mayonnaise – This adds a great creaminess to the meat mixture.
Diced Onion – Classic Big Macs have chopped onions so of course they are a part of these sloppy joes. However if you leave the onions off your sandwich when you order you can leave them out of this recipe too!
Dill Pickle– Pickles get used in this recipe twice! We’re dicing them up to put in with the meat, that helps you get a little pickle in every bite. Then we’re adding some slices to the sandwiches when we assemble them!
Onion & Garlic Powder – We make sure to season our meat around here so we’re adding garlic and onion to give it some great flavor. If you prefer to use minced or fresh garlic you can use it instead.
Salt & Pepper– Don’t skip these basic seasonings! Make sure to taste your meat mixture before serving and add a little more salt and pepper if you’d like it!
American Cheese – I like to use American cheese because it is what is used on a Big Mac. However if you’d prefer a different kind of cheese like cheddar you can use your favorite!
Hamburger Buns – You can use your favorite burger buns, for a classic taste use sesame seed buns.
Shredded Lettuce – We’re going for an authentic Big Mac experience so shredded iceberg is the way to go. I buy it pre-shredded to make things easy. You can easily swap it out for any lettuce you prefer.
