Variations –
Top these pizzas with your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, black olives, chopped bell pepper, bacon, Italian sausage or any other of your favorite toppings. When preparing your toppings chop them into smaller pieces than you would use for a regular size pizza so that you can fit them on your mini pizzas. Instead of tomato sauce you can also top these with olive oil, alfredo sauce or garlic butter.
Cooking tips-
Depending on the shape and size of your air fryer cooking time may vary. Start with 5 minutes and then coon for an additional minute at a time until the dough is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Don’t use parchment paper to line your air fryer.
The mini air fryer pizzas cook as the hot air circulates around it. Parchment blocks the air from reaching the pizza crust and can result in an undercooked pizza. If you want to line your air fryer be sure to use liners.
Leave room between your pizzas-
For best results don’t crowd the air fryer, leave a few inches between the pizzas so that they don’t stick together while they are cooking and there is room for the air to circulate as the pizza cooks.
How to store these pizzas-
Store leftover pizzas refrigerated in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap. Leftovers make a great after school snack or lunchbox treat. These also freeze well. Cook and cool the pizzas completely before storing. To reheat place them in a 350 degree air fryer or oven until heated through.
