Summertime and the livin’ is easy!! Seriously how awesome is summer?? As a homeschool mom I look forward to summer vacation even more than as much as my kids do! The break is needed by all of us and we love celebrating!
Once school is out for the summer we look forward to two things the most. Staying at our cabin at the lake, swimming, playing, cooking over a campfire (yay s’mores!), lots family time. The second is ice cream!
So what better way to celebrate summer than to combine two of our favorite things into one?!
There may not be a better one… these ice cream s’mores are pretty awesome! Oh, and they’re easy to make!! No melting chocolate, no melting marshmallows… just assembly and eating! Perfect!
You can also make one or a dozen… however many you want!
Here’s what you’ll need for your ice cream s’mores-
Graham Crackers
Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
Smucker’s Magic Shell Chocolate Fudge Flavored Topping
Marshmallow Creme
Sprinkles, mini marshmallows, peanuts etc.
The first thing you want to do is break your graham crackers into squares… unless you want to make really big ones then by all means leave them whole.
Now smear each graham cracker section with a nice thick layer of marshmallow creme… yum!
Now add a nice big scoop of Blue Bunny® Homemade Vanilla ice cream.
Now smush another marshmallow coated graham cracker on top. Be careful though they crack easily, push gently and evenly.
As you assemble them pop them into the freezer. Once you’ve assembled as many as you’d like let them freeze for about 2 hours.
Now it’s time for the Smucker’s Magic Shell Chocolate Fudge Flavored Topping to work it’s magic.
If you’re making a whole bunch you could pour your magic shell into a container and dip them, but if you’re only making a few you can just hold them over a bowl and pour the Smucker’s Magic Shell Chocolate Fudge Flavored Topping over, turning the ice cream sandwich as you go.
Once they’re coated, while the chocolate is still a little wet go ahead and sprinkle them with marshmallows, sprinkles or whatever you’d like. Now pop them back in the freezer for a few minutes to get the chocolate to set completely.
Now they’re ready to eat!
If you’re not serving immediately make sure to keep them in an air tight container.
Now I went for a very traditional s’mores flavor here but my kids picked some other flavors they want to create some other variations with.
How about Blue Bunny® Double Strawberry or Blue Bunny® Mocha Me Hoppy™?? The possibilities are endless!
You can stop by your local Walmart and really get inspired by all of the awesome flavors that Blue Bunny® offers. The only drawback is trying to make a decision! The clear packaging lets you see all the swirls, chunks, and deliciousness that makes them so tempting!! It comes in handy at home because you can easily see when it’s time to head to the store for more ice cream! (check out our container of Blue Bunny® Mocha Me Hoppy™… the hubs has been enjoying it!)
Just watch out for that adorable Blue Bunny® in the isle and you’ll be in the right place.
Hope over just a couple of isles and you can pick up your Smucker’s Magic Shell Chocolate Fudge Flavored Topping and all the additional goodies you’ll need to make these awesome treats!
Mint chocolate chip ice cream is my absolute favorite, and I could eat it every day. But I would try something new just to have these frozen s’mores. They sound perfect for summer!
Ohh. yes! I love anything with magic shell. And marshmallow creme. And sprinkles. And Blue Bunny. I love butter pecan but Scarlet would insist on vanilla.
These look delicious! I know my kids would love them.
blue bunny is my favorite brand of ice cream! What a fun idea to enjoy it!
This looks amazing! I know my kids would love this, and it’s perfect for the hot summer season.
