How to serve this stir fry– We love to serve this stir fry over rice, brown rice, white rice or jasmine rice are all great options. For a low carb option it is delicious over cauliflower rice! It is also tasty as a topping for noodles, my son loves to make this stir fry with ramen noodles for lunch!

We like to use broccoli, green peppers, or even a frozen vegetable blend for a quick fix. Another great addition is fresh chopped green onion over the top of the cooked stir fry.
Use different meat- While we love this healthy ground beef stir fry made with lean beef you can swap out the meat if you prefer. This is tasty made with ground chicken, ground turkey or even ground pork!

Ingredients for Ground Beef Stir Fry
For the Stir Fry-
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
Pinch salt & pepper
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 Small Onion- sliced thin
1 Red Bell Pepper – sliced
8 oz Mushrooms – sliced
1 Medium Zucchini – Cut into slices or chunks
8 oz. Snow Peas or Snap Peas
For the Stir Fry Sauce –
1/2 Cup Beef Broth
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1 tsp Corn Starch
1 tsp Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Rice Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Fresh Grated Ginger
1 tsp Minced Garlic
Sesame seeds for garnish
Here’s how to make this ground beef stir fry recipe-
Place the ground beef in a large skillet or wok, season with salt and pepper, a tsp of minced garlic. Cook over medium high heat until cooked through crumbling into medium size chunks until it is cooked through and no longer pink.
Remove the ground beef from pan drain the ground beef if necessary. (If you use lean ground beef you should not have to drain it)
Place the sliced onion in the skillet with some of the ground beef fat and saute for about 5 minutes over medium-high heat or until they are translucent.
Add in the rest of the chopped veggies and stir. Continue cooking over medium heat for about 5- 10 minutes or until the veggies are softened.
While the vegetables are cooking whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, corn starch, sesame oil, brown sugar, rice wine vinegar, ginger and garlic in a medium size bowl.
Add the ground beef back into the skillet
Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetables and ground beef and stir well. Continue to cook over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes. The sauce will thicken as it cooks.
Serve warm over rice or noodles garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
