Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 1/4 Cup Thousand Island Dressing
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Cup Diced Onion
  • 1 Cup Diced Dill Pickle plus slices for garnish
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 32 oz Bag Frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 Cup Shredded Lettuce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place the ground beef in a large skillet sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook over medium or medium high heat stirring and crumbling until completely browned.
  • Remove from the heat and drain if needed, set aside.
  • Add the onion to the skillet and cook stirring frequently for about 10 minutes or until the onion is translucent. Turn off the heat.
  • Add the cooked ground beef back into the skillet.
  • Add in the 1 cup of dressing, mayo, onion powder, garlic powder, and chopped pickles. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
  • Spread the ground beef mixture evenly across the bottom of a 13×9 pan.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese evenly across the top of the ground beef.
  • Spread the frozen tater tots evenly across the top of the cheese and press them down slightly.
  • Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and top with reserved dressing sauce, pickles and shredded cheese. Serve warm
