Delicious Red Velvet Rice Krispie Treats

Red velvet rice krispie treats are the perfect combination of delicious no-bake cereal treats and rich red velvet cake! Crunchy, chewy, and sweet with a hint of chocolate flavor! Drizzled with a little white chocolate for even more sweetness and delicious flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1- 10 oz Bag Mini Marshmallows
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • 6 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1 Cup Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/3 Cup White Chocolate Chips
  • Taste Free Red Gel Food Coloring

Instructions

  • The first thing you'll want to do is prepare a 13x9 inch pan. Line the pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and then butter the pan.
  • Next in a large saucepan melt butter and marshmallows over low to medium heat stirring frequently until completely melted and smooth.
  • Add in vanilla and mix until well blended.
  • Add in cake mix and continue mixing until it is all evenly incorporated.
  • Remove the marshmallow mixture from the heat and add in red food coloring. Stir in 1/2 tsp or the food coloring and mix until well blended. Add in additional coloring and stir until until desired color is reached.
  • Add in cereal and stir until evenly coated. The mixture will be very thick, just keep stirring until it is all mixed together.
  • Butter your hands and press the cereal mixture evenly into your prepared pan.
  • Let the treats cool completely.
  • Once your treats are cooled it is time to drizzle them with white chocolate. You can drizzle the chocolate across the entire pan or cut them and drizzle them individually it is up to you. I like to do them individually because then the chocolate doesn't crack and they look prettier, but either way works.
  • If you are cutting them first you can remove them from the pan and then cut into 16 rectangles.
  • Place your white chocolate in a microwave save bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals stirring between each until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Place the melted chocolate in a disposable plastic piping bag and snip off the end to create a small opening. Drizzle the chocolate across the crispy treats as much or as little as you'd like. Allow chocolate to harden.
  • Serve your treats or keep them in an airtight container. Place parchment between layers if you stack them to store.
