Ingredients

  • 2 21 oz Cans Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 box 15.25 oz Yellow or White Cake Mix
  • 1 cup Butter Melted
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar optional
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  • First you’ll need to preheat the oven to 350.
  • Prepare a 13×9 baking dish by buttering it or spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place the cherry pie filling in a medium size bowl, add in brown sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until well incorporated.
    2 21 oz Cans Cherry Pie Filling, ½ cup Brown Sugar, 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Spread the pie filling across the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Next sprinkle the whole box of dry cake mix as evenly as possible across the cherry filling.
    1 box 15.25 oz Yellow or White Cake Mix
  • DO NOT STIR.
  • Now take the melted butter and drizzle it as evenly as possible across the cake mix layer covering as much of the cake mix as possible.
    1 cup Butter Melted
  • Place in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edge.
  • Let cool a little before serving.
  • Top with ice cream or whipped cream and serve!
    Optional toppings: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
