Have you been to the mall this Christmas season? Have you checked out the prices on lotions and creams? How about the ingredient list? Not only is this gift quick and easy, but it is also something you can feel good about giving!

Once again this whips up with minimal time and easy to find ingredients. (Noticing a trend here?) You can personalize it, and might even want to make some for yourself!
Here’s what you’ll need
– 1 Cup Coconut Oil
– 5-6 Drops of Essential Oil– your choice I used Lavender
– An Electric Mixer
– Pretty Packaging
First let’s talk about why anyone would want to take something out of their kitchen, whip it up, and spread it on their body. Here’s the thing about coconut oil, it’s as good for your outsides as it is for your insides. It is anti-viral, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. It also protects from UV rays… and it is super moisturizing and leaves your skin feeling silky soft.

That being said. For this project all you have to do is put the coconut oil (solid not melted) in your mixer, and “whip it… whip it good” ( I am so sorry, I couldn’t resist) Start on a lower speed until it gets nice and fluffy, then turn it up to high and let it go for about 5 minutes.

As it’s mixing add in your essential oil.

Once it’s been whipped for about 5-6 minutes it will form “soft peaks” and it’s ready to go.

You can package this up in a jar, or recycle a pot from another cream or lotion.

If you’re giving this to someone who lives in a warmer climate or who keeps their house super warm, recommend that they keep it in the refrigerator.

This is a perfect present for teachers, neighbors… pretty much anyone with skin, that should cover your list!
