GRINCH THUMBPRINT COOKIES

These Grinch thumbprint cookies are a delicious, buttery cookie that is filled with a sweet vanilla frosting. Perfect for a family movie night, holiday parties or a cookie exchange!

Made with simple delicious ingredients- Flour Butter Sugar Egg Vanilla Powdered Sugar Karo Syrup Cream Green Food Coloring Red Heart Sprinkles

First the dough is made by combining the butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla and then the dry ingredients are combined and added to the butter mixture.

The dough is rolled into balls and placed on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Then indentations are pressed into the center of each ball of dough. The cookies are baked and then cooled before being filled.

Powdered sugar, vanilla, karo syrup and cream are combined to form a vanilla filling.

Then green food coloring is added to create a fun Grinch green filling.

The cooled cookies are then filled with the vanilla filling and topped with a red heart sprinkle.
