These Halloween cookie bars are a delicious soft chocolate cookie base topped with a nice thick layer fluffy homemade frosting. They are always a crowd pleaser, perfect for parties!

Ingredients  Flour Sugar Brown Sugar  Butter Eggs Vanilla Cocoa Powder  Powdered Sugar  Salt  Baking Powder  Heavy Cream Chocolate Chips

Cream together brown sugar, white sugar and butter until light and fluffy.

Add in egg and vanilla. Mix until well incorporated.

Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder.

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until well incorporated.

Press into the pan.  Bake @375 for 12-15 minutes.  Allow to cool before frosting.

To make the frosting-  Cream butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add in heavy cream and vanilla continue mixing until well blended.  Gradually add in the powdered sugar until it is all incorporated.  Add in food coloring and mix.

Spread the  frosting evenly across the cooled cookie bars.

Sprinkle evenly with Halloween sprinkles.

Cut into 24 squares & serve!
