This watermelon and lime shaved ice is perfect for a hot summer day! It is cool and refreshing and super easy to make! Great for parties or anytime!
I have been seeing so many delicious frozen summer treats every where I look.
And lets face it, there is no better way to enjoy the summer with fresh tastes, cool treats, and all the flavors of summer.
Today my friends I have for you a treat that does all of the above. On top of that its super simple, doesn’t require any special equipment..I don’t own an ice cream maker (yet)… and is delicious!!
Here’s what you’ll need for this watermelon lime shaved ice :
6 Cups Watermelon cubed ( about half of a medium-size watermelon… look for seedless)
1/3- Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/4- Cup Lime Juice
1/4- tsp Sea Salt
This is a very juicy recipe… there’s not really any way around that… you’ll be kind of sticky at the end. Combine all of the ingredients in a big bowl…
Unless you have a very large food processor or blender then put it all directly in there. I have a very tiny food processor so I had to do it in batches.
Blend or process all the ingredients together until you have a sort of watermelon soup. Now even if you have bought a seedless watermelon there will probably be some renegade seeds, this is a great time to fish them out.
Now pour it into a baking pan (8×8 or 9×9 works perfectly) and stick it in the freezer.
It is done when it is nice and firm. ( about 6-8 hours)
To serve your watermelon and lime shaved ice take a fork and scrape over the top to make it nice and fluffy, scoop out and enjoy!
