I love field trips… seriously love them.
We’ve gone on so many cool ones with our homeschool co-op over the years, a bread factory, a chocolate factory (one of my favorites!) Museums, animal sanctuaries… the list goes on and on.
I love the learning experience it provides for the kids, whether we are with a group or just us, the hands on experiences, seeing things up close and personal, it makes for such a rich learning experience.
And it’s fun.
This year I wanted to have some worksheets prepared for the trips. Simple activities to really get the boys paying attention and reflecting on what they’ve learned. So I put this planner together. It is simple, covers the basics and will help mom and the kids stay organized and reflect on the pros and cons of field trips.
There are 4 sheets. The first is the trip details, where, when, contact info and itinnery. The second place is a blank scavenger hunt sheet – it’s a great way to fill in things that you really want your kids to be paying attention to and looking for. Page 3 is a reflection sheet for mom- what subjects you covered, what worked, what didn’t. And the last but not least is a sheet for the kids to write what they learned, what they enjoyed etc.
I’m making each sheet available individually to make printing easier- that way if you need multpile kids sheets you an just print those off.

Our first field trip is next week so I’m exited to print these up and use them!! The goal is to make the field trips even more educational by incorporating some writing skills at the end, get them focusing on certiain things and providing me a way to keep track of what we’ve done and learned!
Do you love field trips too? If you use this planner I’d love your feedback!!
