How to store these maple blondies-
These blondies are best stored in an airtight container. They will keep well for several days.
Tips for these blondies-
Let them cool completely-
I know it is tempting to cut into these as soon as they come out of the oven but they need to cool and set so that they are the perfect texture and don’t fall apart.
Serve them with ice cream-
For an extra special treat warm up your blondies and top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of extra maple syrup!
Use real maple syrup-
For this recipe you need to use pure maple syrup not pancake syrup. Some “syrup” is just corn syrup with maple flavoring. It will not result in the right flavor or texture in these blondies.
Don’t overmix-
For brownies and blondies you don’t want to overmix the batter. Whipping too much air into the batter can alter the fudgy chewy texture. You can mix them by hand using a whisk or wooden spoon or use an electric mixer on low speed.
Here’s what you’ll need for these maple blondies:
1- Cup Maple Syrup ( the real stuff!!)
1/2- Cup Brown Sugar
1- Egg
6- Tbsp. Butter- melted
2- tsp. Vanilla
2- Cups Flour
1/2- tsp Baking Powder
1/4- tsp Salt
Get your oven heating to 350 and grease an 8×8 baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Now we’re going to reduce the maple syrup a bit on the stove. In a small pan bring the syrup to a boil over med/high heat. Make sure you keep a close eye on it, once it gets boiling it likes to foam up and try to boil over, you can give it a stir or reduce the heat a little if it does. Keep it boiling for about 10 minutes or about 1/4 cup is evaporated. Once that’s done remove it from the heat to cool.
In a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer or stand mixer on low combine your butter, egg, vanilla extract and brown sugar. In a medium bowl combine baking powder and salt and flour. Alternate adding the flour mixture and maple syrup to the butter mixture and mixing well after each addition until it is all well blended.
Once everything is well combined pour it into your prepared pan.
Pop it in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean. It should be a nice golden brown at this point.
Let them cool completely Cut into squares and enjoy!!
If you have any left (which you probably won’t!) store them in an airtight container.
Go now! Make these maple blondies!! Then come on back and let me know if your family loves them as much as mine does!

Ohhh, heaven. I remember you saying you were going to make Blondies. It’s sugaring season here like mad!
I was never very into Blondies until recently. When made right, they might even be better than brownies.

Made the mistake of making these twice. Honestly terrible Followed the recipe exactly and they were bad both times.

I just put mine in the oven. I added bits of bacon to it. I’m excited to see how they turn out!

Hoping the final product turns out. I had to ditch the first attempt at batter- I had massive clumps.
The second attempt at batter I added more syrup- but before I put it in the oven it was already the consistency of partially set fudge. Not thrilled so far and will be incredibly disappointed if this ends up as a waste of really good local maple syrup.

I made these and the syrup reduced but turned hard so I melted the butter and mixed the two with my immersion blender beat everything together. The directions say to pour it into the pan but the mixture was clumpy so I added another egg and 2 big squirts of maple syrup and best with mixer. The batter turned out like batter should be and tasted like mild maple. Once in the pan I sprinkled pecans on one third of it . Turned out great.

Mine don’t turn out like the photo more like cake using our homemade syrup. Still good flavor. I don’t boil down the syrup too too much too nervous to burn it its already been reduced. Not maple flavor just sweet.

Looking at some of the comments and just putting them together myself for the first time (results TBD as they’re still cooking), dealing with the maple syrup boiling too long in order to reduce it by a quarter and thus changing its texture to basically soft candy is an issue worth addressing in the post with an update/edit, I would think. Since I can’t judge volume visually very well, I was measuring and could tell that is was going to be too thick if I let it cool. I therefore mixed up the batter while it was still warm. We’ll see if the blondies are rock hard. ♀️

These turned out dry. Didn’t look like the picture at all. I was very disappointed
