I get these lovely breakouts during certain times of the month.
I kind of feel like they are Mother Nature’s early warning system for my family… when the pimple on her chin pops out BEWARE!!
Which although kind of Mother Nature, I don’t really appreciate it. They tend to be the kind that are just red bumps that hurt. Just one or two, but annoying, and not so attractive.
A couple of years ago on vacation one of them decided to rear its ugly head and my sister gave me her blemish stick from The Body Shop, that is chock full of tea tree oil. It worked beautifully.
I bought my own, and it lasted forever. But recently ran out. So I decided I’d try my hand at making up my own tea tree blemish fighter and see if it would work as well.
I will interject here that I hate the smell of tea tree oil… like hate it. I’m not sure why, it just stinks to me. So for me to get behind putting it on my face, you know it has to work!
Here’s what you’ll need-
1-Tbsp Aloe Vera Gel (Not the green kind from the drug store)
20- Drops Tea Tree Oil
5- Drops Lavender Essential Oil
(Here is a list of places I recommend to buy affordable essential oils )
This is super simple- pour your aloe into your bottle, add in the tea tree oil and lavender. Shake it all up to mix thoroughly.
Some brands of aloe recommend storing in the refrigerator.
Apply a couple of drops to blemishes in the morning and before bed. It will help the fade quickly & give you clear skin!
