My dear sweet middle child Nathan has a busy brain.
Often that busy brain results in him wanting to experiment with things… sometimes resulting in something cool… other times resulting in a mess.
Lately he’s been into bubbles. On a quest to make bubbles that will bounce and last.
He’s mixed up all kinds of things… shampoo, lotion, glue, oil… the list goes on and on. He has to try something if he thinks it might work. Even if I tell him it probably won’t he wants to see for himself… just in case.
And the homeschool momma lets him, who knows what he might discover along the way??
After several experiments though he finally let me look on Pinterest for a good recipe.
We found one.
After we tried it and realized how much fun they were he made a video. (He has a YouTube channel and makes all kinds of fun little videos)
I thought I’d share the recipe & his how to/ demonstration so that the mad scientists in your life can whip up some of their own!
Here’s what you’ll need
1- Cup Distilled Water
2- Tbsp Dawn Dish Liquid… yes it has to be Dawn, the cheap stuff doesn’t work as well
1- Tbsp Glycerine – you can find it a craft stores & pharmacies
Something to mix it all in
A bubble wand
Gloves, or socks for your hands
You simply mix everything together… that’s it. They do work better if you let the mixture sit overnight, but if your kiddos are impatient like mine they can use them as soon as you’re done. They will bounce off your hands if you are wearing gloves!
Here’s Nathan’s video… he’ll give you a great demonstration
Off you go, make some bubbles! (And if you’d like to follow Nathan on YouTube he’d love it!)
